Senior Legal Services, established in 1972, is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing free legal assistance to seniors and vulnerable populations in Santa Cruz and San Benito counties. Our mission is to defend the rights of older adults to quality housing, government benefits, and protection from exploitation and discrimination. We offer legal advice, advocacy, and representation in areas such as tenant rights, mobile home issues, care facilities and patient rights, elder abuse, discrimination, consumer protection, Social Security benefits, Medicare and Medi-Cal health insurance, and limited estate planning. Our offices are located at 317 Soquel Avenue, Santa Cruz, CA 95062, and 114 E. Fifth Street, Watsonville, CA 95076. We serve residents aged 60 and older in Santa Cruz and San Benito counties. Our Santa Cruz office operates Monday through Wednesday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, Thursday from 1:00 pm to 4:30 pm, and Friday from 8:30 am to 12:00 pm.
