Our Services

The Nevada County District Attorney's Office prosecutes felony and misdemeanor offenses referred by law enforcement agencies. Specialized vertical prosecution units have been established to handle cases such as child abuse, driving under the influence, auto theft, drug offenses, spousal abuse, sexual assault, and statutory rape. The office is dedicated to ensuring justice and protecting the welfare of the community through diligent and ethical legal practices.

Meet the District Attorney

Jesse Wilson, a native of California, serves as the District Attorney for Nevada County. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology from the University of California, Davis, and a Juris Doctorate from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law. Jesse began his career as a legal intern with the Nevada County District Attorney's Office in July 2010 and was admitted to the California State Bar in January 2012. He was named the Nevada County Prosecutor of the Year in May 2018 and has served the Nevada County community as a Deputy District Attorney for six years. His focus is on keeping the community a safe and wholesome place, ensuring that justice is done in every case.
