Mendocino County District Attorney

Mendocino County District Attorney is committed to ensuring the safety of our communities through the prevention and vigorous prosecution of crime, maintaining high ethical standards to ensure that justice is accomplished in all cases.

As a constitutional officer and the public prosecutor acting on behalf of the People of the State of California, the District Attorney is vested with the independent power to conduct prosecutions for public offenses, detect crime, and investigate criminal activity. The District Attorney advises the Grand Jury in its investigations and sponsors and participates in programs to improve the administration of justice.

The office is staffed with experienced investigators who provide professional investigative support for the prosecutors. All District Attorney Investigators are sworn peace officers with many years of law enforcement experience, recognized throughout Mendocino County for their expertise in a wide array of investigative functions ranging from homicide investigations to complex and intricate white-collar criminal activity.
