About the Founder:

Richard Macgurn graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Claremont Men's College in 1974 and earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of San Diego School of Law in 1977. He has served as a Superior Court Judge Pro Tem in the North San Diego County Superior Court and as an expert witness on trust, estate planning, and probate issues. He has also served on the Board of Directors of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Carlsbad since 1994 and the Board of Directors of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Carlsbad Foundation since 2015. Mr. Macgurn is married with three sons and two grandchildren.
