Admitted to practice law in 1980 in the State of California and in 1981 in the U.S. District Court, Central District of California. He holds a Juris Doctorate from Southwestern University (1980) and a Bachelor of Arts from Loyola Marymount University (1977). He is a member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association, Southeast District Bar Association, and the State Bar of California. He has served as President of the La Mirada Chamber of Commerce (1989-1990) and as Distinguished Past President of the La Mirada Kiwanis Club (1998-1999).
