Under the leadership of District Attorney George Marquez, who has extensive experience as both a prosecutor and defense attorney, our office is committed to providing a safer community to the residents of Imperial County. We offer various programs, including the Firearm Violence Reduction Initiative, aimed at reducing gun violence and enhancing public safety. Our Bureau of Investigation is dedicated to the protection of our communities and serving the victims of crime in Imperial County, ensuring a sense of security for our citizens through vigorous enforcement of criminal and civil laws in a just, honest, efficient, and ethical manner.

We also provide support to victims and witnesses through our Victim-Witness Assistance Program, offering services that help them cope with the aftermath of victimization and make their participation in the system less difficult and burdensome. This program works closely with other local, state, and county offices to provide assistance to victims and their families.
