Finding Common Ground Mediation & Law Services

Guiding families toward fair, peaceful, and lasting solutions with clarity, compassion, and care.

Business Details

Finding Common Ground Mediation & Law Services is dedicated to assisting families across California in navigating divorce, co-parenting, and family law matters with clarity, compassion, and care. Led by Attorney Mediator Melinda Levy, the firm offers same-day consultations, flexible after-hour appointments, and even in-home visits when needed. The approach is responsive, supportive, and always transparent-especially when it comes to costs and communication. Whether you're looking for mediation or legal guidance, the firm is here to guide you toward fair, peaceful, and lasting solutions.

With over 28 years of experience, Melinda Levy brings a wealth of professional and personal experience to her role as an Attorney Mediator. After litigating with the Weintraub Tobin Law Firm, Melinda spent 15 years as in-house counsel for The Niello Company, frequently mediating employment matters. She joined Finding Common Ground after experiencing the effectiveness of the structured mediation process during her own divorce. Melinda understands what it feels like to be in clients' shoes and believes so strongly in the process that she refocused her entire career to mediate divorces and family law matters. Co-parenting is particularly important to Melinda, as she has two boys and is a co-parent herself. She has completed Co-Parenting Specialist training with Christina McGhee, MSW, and AFCC's Fundamentals of Parenting Coordination Training. In addition to the intensive 2-year Finding Common Ground training, Melinda has also received additional mediation training from Stephen Rosenberg, Clare Fowler, Woody Mosten, and Susan Guthrie. She is available to work with clients who need to schedule appointments in the evenings and on weekends.

Finding Common Ground Mediation & Law Services provides mediation services, divorce, and co-parent arrangements across the entire state of California.
