California Indian Legal Services (CILS) is a non-profit law firm dedicated to providing specialized legal representation to Native Americans and Indian tribes. Established in 1967, CILS has been a leading advocate for the rights of Native Americans and Indian Tribes for over five decades. The organization offers free or low-cost legal assistance in areas such as federal Indian law, child welfare, land issues, student rights, cultural resource protection, housing, and public benefits related to Native American resources.
