Empowering Your Legal Journey with Professional Document Assistance
About CALDA
The California Association of Legal Document Assistants (CALDA) is a professional organization established in August 1986, formerly known as the California Association of Independent Paralegals (CAIP). CALDA is dedicated to promoting high standards of ethical and professional conduct among Legal Document Assistants (LDAs) and enhancing public access to the legal system.
Our Mission
CALDA's mission is to support the growth, development, and recognition of the LDA profession as an integral partner in the delivery of legal services. We offer our members educational opportunities, professional alliances, a website business listing, member forum exchange, and attorney-approved printed brochure materials.
Services Offered
CALDA provides a directory of registered and bonded LDAs who assist with various legal document preparations, including divorce, wills, deeds, guardianship, and more. Our members are committed to increasing public access to the legal system and recognize their professional responsibilities to the public, the legal system, and colleagues.
Membership Benefits
Members of CALDA enjoy benefits such as California State Bar-approved Minimum Continuing Legal Education (MCLE), informational brochures and questionnaires, business listings on the CALDA website, and a network of legal document assistants and community professionals.
